Brooke Noli, Portland Doula
With over 27 years of experience and more than 600 births attended, I bring a depth of knowledge and calm that can only come from truly having been there – in hospitals, birth centers, and homes, at all hours, through every kind of birth story imaginable.
My journey into this work began with a single, life-changing experience: supporting a dear friend through the labor and birth of her son. That day revealed something I hadn’t expected: the profound difference one calm, trusted presence can make in one of the most intense moments of a person’s life. I’ve never looked back.
I been a certified doula since 1999, and I’m also a Board Certified Patient Advocate, a credential that reflects my deep commitment to ensuring you feel informed, respected, and supported in every interaction with your care team. I’ve completed three years of midwifery training, earned an MA in Marriage & Family Therapy, and co-founded Birth First Doulas. For over a decade, I also trained and mentored new doulas, which means the skills I bring to your birth have been refined, tested, and trusted enough to pass on to others.
My background in therapy shapes the way I work. I know how to read a room, support a partner, navigate a tense moment, and help you feel genuinely heard, not just during labor, but throughout your entire prenatal and postpartum experience. That combination of clinical training, birth experience, and emotional attunement is something I’m proud to offer every family I work with.
My doula package includes three prenatal appointments, on-call services beginning at 37 weeks, labor and birth support, and two postpartum visits. I wholeheartedly support all choices, including unmedicated, epidural assited, and cesarean births, or anything in between. Whatever path your birth takes, I’ll be with you from the final stretch of pregnancy through those tender first days with your baby.
In my down time, I love spending time with family and friends, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, scuba diving in warm waters anywhere, and laughing at whatever silliness I can find.
